hi there, my trusty Logitech Z560 4.1's have just died and i was looking to replace them with the equivalent model out at the moment. would i be right in thinking that would be the Logitech 5500 5.1's? im sure that model has been out for 3+ years now and yet i cant seem to see any newer model on the market? anyone know when/if there is a product update coming soon from logitech? or if there is a better set of speakers out there for a similar price range ~£200.

cheers for your help in advance :)

cool, iv actually mangaed to fix my Z560's now, it was the internal fuse which was really hard to get to and involved unscrewing about 24 screws! all up and running again now though :) i think i will wait untill logitech update the 5500 - its been 4 years now cant be too much longer!

z5500's rock

mine were about £180 i think about 2 years ago, the left speaker developed a fault (sometimes just goes off, can't REALLY notice it in films etc) had a full refund from the place i bought it, didn't bother replacing them, just using them on dodgy 4.1/5.1 :p

one of my best buys for my pc

who would give you a full refund without taking the item back, seems a bit retarded if you ask me

I am still using the Z680s (for over 4 years now) which were replaced by the 5500s (which are slightly louder), even now when playing 5:1 (especially music DVDs) they still don't fail to impress....! ;)
