It's been a while since I really looked at what's good and what's not etc. These days I seem more focused on HP Proliant servers than what's at home etc.

Basically I've currently got:
Shuttle XPC ST20G5
AMD Athlon64 3700+
1GB PC3200 RAM
1 x 37GB Western Digital Raptor
1 x 160GB Samsung Spinpoint
NEC DVD-RW
Linksys Wireless card

Other stuff I have is
Adaptec 1210SA SATA RAID card.

After about 6 weeks of having a new Shuttle again I'm not that chuffed with it, so am getting close to putting it up for sale. Now I want to return back to a tower case, motherboard and gfx card etc.

At the moment I am looking at:

Asus A8N-SLi SE nForce4 SLi
Leadtek GeForce 7600 GS

but I'm not sure on a case. I'm tempted with an Antec P180, but don't know enough about it. Also not sure what PSU to get.

As for the CPU cooler I'm looking at Zalman CNPS7700-CU Ultra-Quiet CPU Cooler

Now I don't want to break the bank as I reckon I'll get about £150 for the Shuttle, plus poss about £40 for the WD Raptor if I sell it.

The system will only really be used for VMWare and office stuff, poss extending into a game or too (again no idea what's out there these days) What are people's thoughts?

As for the case I think I'm going to head for either

Antec P180
Antec Sonata II
Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium

I'm after that balance between cooling and being nice and quiet
