Unfortunately I recently had my camera bag stolen. I lost a Canon Rebel T3i and around 5 lenses.

Since I'd got a 24-105mm L Series lens, I hadn't really used most of the others. Occasionally I would take the 55-250mm lens to sporting events and every now and then I would use the 50mm 1.8. I had a wide angle Sigma and of course the stock lens.

Thankfully insurance have paid out, so I'm starting fresh. I'm fairly sure I saw a 760D in John Lewis, although it's not on their website, but I'm thinking this is the camera I will go for.

I'm not a big photographer, maybe only taking the camera out now and then, so I'm wondering if I will just stick with something like the Canon 18-200mm and nothing else as this covers most uses. Probably pick up another second hand 50mm 1.8 as they can be had for around £60.

Any thoughts?

No thought for me then? :(

I've seen a Sigma 18-250mm OS lens for £150 second hand, actually seems like a good purchase against the Canon for £300+?

**EDIT** I'm also wondering about the 70D. I like shooting video, but haven't normally done this with my DSLR, which I have usually used for stills. That might be because it's usually not been so good at continuous auto focus before though.

Thanks guys. I prefer John Lewis as I get Partner discount, but a well priced 2nd hand would be fine.

I've set aside £900 at this point, but less or more is possible.

I've always been a Canon kind of guy, but I'm starting fresh so if Nikon has a better option, I guess I could go that way. Had a quick look at the D7200, but only very quick.

But WiFi is something I'm really wanting. I used an Eye-Fi card in my T3i, would be easier if it's built in. Even better if it has NFC like the 760D.
