Hi all,
Just after some info if anyone can help. I have a 6800 GT SLI setup that developed a fault with one of the GFX cards and so has had to be replaced.
The problem that I have is that the card may be replaced with a different model eg 7800/7900 based card which means my current 6800 GT is no longer going to work in SLI mode which the new card.
Now I am please at the potential free upgrade that I will be getting but I am not happy that I am effectively going to be lumbered with a card that cost me over £200 a year ago that will no longer work in the way it was intended.
Now I have contacted the retailer with regards to my concerns but they have advised me that there is nothing they can do for me.
So just wondering if there is anything else I can do before I go and buy another card. Just wondering if the sales of goods act may work in my favour on this one given that technically from what I can the card is no longer fit for the purpose that it was sold for (although it works in single card mode, I am no longer going to be able to use it as intended in an SLI setup) and it still has just over 2 years of the 3 years warranty that I got when I purchased it.
