Im after a new GFX card to replace my dead 9800pro. I dont want to spend a lot as i dont game.

Im looking to spend £50 but have something like the 9800pro or better

Since it is AGP then your best option is to go secondhand I think, a 9800pro should cost around £30-35, if you are lucky then you might find an X800series card or a 6800series card for around your budget, it just depends how desperate the seller is. :)

Would them cards be ok running @ 1440 x900 res?

To do what? 1440x900 is a bit less demanding than 1280x1024 and I use a 6800gt normally at 1280x1024 which is fine for the games I play and since you say you don't game they should be more than capable. If you mean will the resolution be supported then yes it should be but if not it is pretty easy to set up a custom resolution.

Well i run at 1440 x 900 on my widescreen monitor. I do play the odd game now and again but hardly ever, so i dont want it to die on me if i do decide to play a game.

There's an X800XL on Mm for £50 incl del ( or was I'll go check now )

here it is want's £50+del well worth it tbh and no one has met asking on it yet
