The battery in my mum's HP nx7010 laptop has failed and is no longer powering the laptop. I'm trying to find a cheap and decent replacement battery from a trustworthy source but I don't know where to go.

I don't know how easy this will be due to the forum no posting competitor rules but can anyone point me in the right direction?

The original HP P/N for the battery is: 337607-002 and the HP P/N for the replacement is 336962-001

How good are the batteries that are available on there, anyone got any experiences they could share?

I bought a replacement battery for my HP laptop from an auction site about 6 months ago. No issues so far. I did chose a seller with close to 100% positive feedback.

Just use some common sense and look for a reputable seller with excellent and high feedback score and you'll be fine. Don't want to break any competitor rules so I'll leave it there. ;)

I always do! ;)

Thanks for the help, all sorted now the new battery is on it's way.

Replacement Battery

Hi. I was experiencing the same kind of battery problems a few weeks ago with my HP Laptop. I just got a replacement model from eBay and it is working very well so far. eBay isn't always the greatest because of scammers, but the person I dealt with (I don't think I can put their username up) got the battery to me fast. It's a Denaq brand and I haven't received any errors on my computer or problems with the charge. If you are still looking for something, try that route.

for the sake of 10 or 20 quid I personally wouldnt risk buying a clone battery, most of them are substandard quality, they are cheap for a reason. They may work for a while but I have seen some examples of these ebay batteries most are from china and the quality of components inside is quite frankly scary. Its false economy imo.
