Well... first post :D

Basically i'm looking for some input on ISP's. I am currently an AOL customer (*awaits torrent of abuse*) paying £25 of my hard earned coinage for a feeble, "Upto 2mb" service.

Since purchasing broadband I haven't actually used th AOL software. So basically i'm paying this £25 just so I can connect to the net. I'm not actually taking advantage (if you could call it that) of AOL's features such as IM's, Chat Rooms, Parental Controls etc...

To be honest I don't need all of this fancy crap... I'm not gonna knock AOL like most do because to be honest i've never actually had any problems with it. I just figured its time I payed less for more. I mean a friend of mine is on an 8mb connection and is paying £15 a month.

I'm looking for an ISP which will provide unlimited bandwidth like AOL do but at the same time I wanting a quicker connection if it's possible to get one in my area.

My postcode is WF42AS... its a Wakefield address but a Barnsley telephone number. I think we're connected to the Royston telephone exchange.

Thanks for any input. :p
