Replacement laptop with 1080p

Ive currently got a HP HDX16 with a 1080p screen, C2D p8600, bluray and a geforce gt 130m. It just does not cut it for some games so whats out there that has 1080p and topnotch graphics, im not too fussed about bluray as its hardly used, but I cannot go back to a lower res.
oh <£1k would be nice, what are dells like now, I used to fix them and thought they were cheaply made, even the xps stuff.

Dell would be at the top of my list for this sort of thing, Do you really need a laptop as you could probably buy a cheap laptop at £300 and then build a PC with the rest and it will be much better than a £1000 laptop.
