Replacement Laptop

So I have been sticking with my Sony Vaio for a fair while now knowing its slowly coming to the end of its life (well for me anyway!)

I am in need of a replacement - bear in mind my Vaio isnt the fast piece of kit
I5 450m and an AMD Mobility 5650 card I am looking for something to replace it

Not fussed on 15/17" screens (might prefer a 17" these days!) but it depends what fits - pref 1920x1080 much like what I have!

it will be used for gaming so I guess the price tag will reflect that (yep I've been using my Vaio for gaming so!)

Anyhow onto the budget - I have around £850 to spare for a laptop, with this in mind I might be able to stretch it a little further if needs be! being out of touch with hardware etc these days any advice on what I should be going for? :confused:

Ah cool, had a chat with the other half and the budgets up to about £1000 now! so I assume this opens more options up

It's had no problems handling COD, BF4, Thief and anything else I've thrown at it so far.
