Hi all,

We've got a 3rd gen Nest and recently the builder who is doing work in our house knocked it and the screen is now cracked. It works fine but we want it replaced and they're happy to do so.

I can't seem to work out if we can just replace the actual thermostat with a new one or if I need to get the whole thing replaced including the home link that controls the hot water that is installed near the tank?

Anyone replaced one before? It would be an exact like for like replacement.

I had one fail and google only sent out the face unit(thermostat) which I then paired to the old controller (home link) if this helps

Edit for clarification
