Hello

I wonder if somebody can help me? I'm after recommendations for replacement/additional 24" 1920 x 1080 monitors.

It's used mainly for gaming, generally RTS, ARPG, MMORPG, although I do play FPS on occasion I'm not really an FPS fan (cause I suck at 'em, I blame my ageing fingers and reflexes), and it's also used for video editing.

I currently have a Dell 2407WFP Rev A02 which has served me well since 2007 and continues to do so. The downside is that the AVerMedia Live Gamer HD that I've ordered doesn't work on it's native resolution of 1920 x 1200.

The plan is to go dual screen with one on my desk and the other mounted on the wall above using an articulated arm (I can't place them side by side due to space limitations). So, I either require 1 or 2 quality 24" 1920 x 1080 monitors. With such a choice available, and these 120Hz+ monitors which everybody seems to rave about, I'm not sure what the best options are.

One thing that is going to be important is the monitor inputs that are available. Unfortunately my Dell lacks HDMI ports, it only has a DVI, VGA and S-Video.

I assume if we're looking at 120Hz+ my PC specs would be important? I currently run a Asus Rampage III Extreme with an Intel Gulftown 980X, 12Gb Corsair Vengence DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600Mhz memory, and an EVGA GeForce GTX 780 ACX.

I hope I've included enough information.

So, what do you think? Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Ian.

Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24

there are some really good reviews on you tube on this one its a really good price as well 3y warranty as well.

Alas the native resolution of the U2412M is 1920 x 1200 which will not work with the AVerMedia Live Gamer HD.
