Replacement of 285 GTX with what?

Best option imo is to wait for the new cards to come out and prey that they have fix the coil whine noise. Nothing will give you the performance of gtx285 without possible coil noise.

A 4890 clocked at 1Ghz should just about get the performance, no garantee about whine tho.

Yeah, it's the combo of both PSU and Card, there's no definate way to avoid it tbf.
