Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my 8+ year old PC with something new.

I'm happy with my current mouse & keyboard, and will be purchasing a 4K 3840x2160 monitor separately.

I've up to £3,500 to spend for the other elements, though I don't need to spend it all !

I'd prefer an Intel CPU, in particular a i9-14900K, and would love a 4090, but will happily "settle" for a RX-7900-XTX.

It will mainly be used for web development ( .NET ), photo and video editing.

I've not been a games player since my current PC stopped running the latest games, and life happened, but would like to start up again now I have some more time on my hands.

To help me emulate the production environment, I'll be running a couple of VMs, so I think 64GB of memory is a must ?

Oh - and I'm a data junkie, so would like a 1TB NVME system drive, and a 2nd ( 4TB? ) NVME drive to store data on.

I'll be asking Overclockers for quote to put all the pieces together for me.

I expect many people will think my idea of a PC is well "over-speced" but it's a case of now or never :(

Thanks in advance.

Tetras,

Huge thanks for taking the time to put this list together for me.

I never even thought about a midi tower case! It doesn't need to be anything special as it'll just sit under the desk.
