Hi,

Totally fed up with the reliability of these routers. This is my third and has 4/5 random restarts a day.

I feel pretty let down by Plus.net as I have been a loyal customer for 11 years.

Anyone recommend a replacement that isn't silly money before I launch the one and I have and its replacement through my window.
 
Had the same problem at my parents, must have gone through about 3 Plusnet routers.

Ended up getting a TP-LINK TD-W8970 to replace it for about £30, no problems since.
 
As they ship that for everyone now can I ask if you have VDSL or ADSL2+? On my ADSL 2+ connection i've got a TD-W8968 which is a great bit of kit for the £30 RRP, it has QoS, multiple SSID's, guest wifi and VLAN support along with the ability to rate limit connections out of the box and should suit most people other than the wifi speed being 300mbit.

Personally I quite like having a separate modem (I can play with the router settings/flash 3rd party firmware without having to worry about the profile changing as the connection always stays up), but if you need an integrated VDSL modem then the TP Link W9980 is the £65ish, but the VR200 is only about £10 more and takes you fron N600 to AC750.
