Replacement rift question

My replacement rift is being sent out today and I'm wondering, will I need to reinstall my Oculus software or can I just plug it in and start using it? My Oculus software is installed and I'd rather not have to reinstall it if possible incase theres any conflicts. Also.. I should be able to use my old account with Oculus shouldn't I?

You should just be able to unplug the old one and plug in the new one.

Just plug it in, though you might want to rerun the sensor/guardian boundary setup (you can do that bit by itself from the Oculus desktop app, no need to run the full setup).

Cheers yea I plugged the new one in and it worked fine without reinstalling everything.

So is the replacement better? How do you know whether you have a "good/bad" one to start with?
