I want to replace my HH5 as it's lacking some features I want and at least mine behaves odd sometimes.

I want one that supports dd-wrt, I know there are different builds & features depending on router, so I will say I want to make two seperate access points
https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Multiple_WLANs and also want openvpn client support.

Other than that, just matching the hh5 spec wise (gigabit ethernet etc) is fine. There's so many different routers out there, I'm not sure where to start.

I have a HG612 as my modem, so don't need a built in VDSL modem, router only is fine. Doesn't have to be new/current model, used is fine.

Thanks.

I really love my AC56U, same CPU and RAM as the AC68U (both ARM based) and decent performance, I personally go with Merlin's firmware as it's got the best balance of features from Tomato/DDWRT and factory firmware.
