Hey people,
I have a Samsung 550P7C laptop with a 17.3" screen.
Problems:
1) The screen has recently developed a dead pixel somewhere near the middle of the screen which is very noticeable. (Frustrating).
2) The screen was never "full HD" to begin with. (only 1600 x 900)
Is it possible to simply buy any new screen and connect it up and have it work properly? I've seen a couple that do full 1080p resolution - and am rather convinced to buy one and slot it in (killing two birds with one stone). But like I say - is this even possible? Or do I have to have the exact same part number as is currently fitted for it to fit and for me to be able to connect it up?
