My son has a GTX 560 in his machine which is very noisy.. I can hear it downstairs when it gets going! Anyway, I'd like to upgrade it to something a bit better (and quieter!) What would be a good replacement for around the £150 mark ?

If it makes a difference, he plays a lot of games like CS:GO.

Thanks for replying!

His card is pretty clean, it's always been loud, he uses afterburner software to turn the fan down a bit (probably not a good idea).

What is the difference between the one you posted and the 4GB Reference Card ?

Is it loud in the sense that the fan is spinning too fast, or does it sound like the fan-bearing is on its way out?

If it is just the fan speeding too fast, you can easily use 3rd party software such as MSI Afterburner to set up a custom fan-speed profile, so the fan-speed will increase and decrease its speed accordingly to the temperature of the GPU.

Had a bit more of a read and found that the motherboard he has says PCIE 2.0 x16, Given the cards listed all say PCIE 3.0, doesn't that mean they won't work ?

was just about to link the xfx 380 but someone else did it.......that would honestly be best card in your price range :)

and normally faster than 960......
