replacement sound card

am after a replacement for my Creative Labs Sound Blaster SB0460 X-Fi XtremeMusic PCI Sound Card.

Just wondering what asus sound cards are like and will the Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card. Be a good replacement.

The asus cards are good, though driver support is a bit terrible for windows 7, got the xonar dx pcie version here, using vista drivers. Very impressed with it.

Had 2 Xonar's, no issues with 32 and 64bit Win7.

Why are you after a replacement? unless your X-fi is buggered of course.

Its starting to crackly a lot. it did the same in my mates pc so i know its that.
