Hi, the amp died in my last z5500, 2 months later and i just recived my replacement z5500, apparently these are the "limited edition" versions from logitech, ok, first off, i unpacked it to find a us style power plug, sorted that by using the old plug, same specs on back of sub so it should be ok, anyway, all the sound is distorted, i have, re installed windows, and x-fi drivers, re seated the x-fi soundcard in another pci slot, still getting crappy distorted sound, i dont know weather its the z5500's or the x-fi Fatal1ty causing the problem???, i am in 6 channel direct, they seemed to be working ok on the onboard sound, but then i thought to myself, the quality on the onboard sound was not as good as to when i used it before i got my X-fi.

Any one know what the problem could be??, i even tried the old speakers, still crap sound, could it be the speaker cable? it dont appear to be the same..

Ok i've got pretty much the same setup as you, silly question but do you have the stereo xpend feature on in the creative audio console? I did and it caused all sorts of problems with certain mp3 and movie tracks.

Hi, sorry again for bringing up an old topic. :(

I was just wondering, did you contact logitech via their website for the warranty replacement? What question do they ask before sending out a replacement set and did you have to send your old set back?

Thanks! :)
