Hi

Would the Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler be a suitable replacement for the cpu fan that comes with the Phenom Quad 955 black edition? (I'm finding it rather noisy now in the warmer weather:rolleyes: )

I have this inside a Cooler Master Sileo 500 case, will the corsair fit ok into this?

Or could you recommend a quieter alternative to my stock cpu fan anyway ?

Cheers
Chris

The Corsair will fit ok, but you'll end up having no exhaust fan unless you ignore Corsairs instructions and mount the radiator as an exhaust.

It has turned out to be a popular unit, I would buy it but I ended up going with a Prolimatech Megahalems, I don't know why but I did.

Pretty much any aftermarket cooler is going to be better and cooler than the stock coolers that come with CPUs.

If you are prepared to spend as much as the H50 costs then you pretty much can choose anything. Anything with 120mm fan, maybe even 2 of them even would be fine.

i have h50, i bought it to be quiet, and i got a noctua fan and its silent completely and surprisingly very very cool for the fan being on low.
