Hi all

Just bought a house and preparing it for moving in. We do a lot of cooking and baking so one of the more important first jobs is to install a new oven and hob (can't afford a whole new kitchen at this point).

The existing oven is a 70cm height built-under double. These are the worst of all worlds - few features, lack of usable oven space, etc. - so I'd like to replace it with a decent single oven.

My understanding is that the double will be stood on legs, whereas a single would need to be in a cabinet. Anyone had any experience of this type of swap to give an idea about what sort of work might be involved?

Cheers!

You are correct. All you need is a built under oven housing. What you might have a problem with is the small dummy draw front on the bottom of the housing matching you existing kitchen doors.

I'm not too worried about matching, the existing kitchen is old and nasty and I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist anyway...
