My 360 is still going strong *touches wood*, but I'm alas moving back to the UK in September, and I'm worried that if it ever fails they'll ask me to take it back to the retailer, about 2000 miles away. Do they let you send it straight to them or does it have to go back through the retailer?

Normally I wouldn't worry about this, but there's so many dead 360 threads that I thought it best to ask. If it'll be a problem I'll sell the 360 before I leave and get a new one in the UK.

Your 360 has a valid warranty anywhere within the EU. If it fails back in the UK then you just call Microsoft to get it serviced.

It's EU, so it's all the same region. Not that it matters, I don't actually use it for gaming, just as a media center extender.

I'm considering selling as a last resort really, as it really is fine how it is at the moment.

Perfect, just the info I was after. It wasn't clear on the warranty form if it was to go back to the retailer or just contact Microsoft.

The only thing that may matter is the length of the warranty period for the 360 in south Cyprus. For example German warranty for the 360 is 2 years compared to the UK standard of 1 year. If your warranty is shorter/longer then it will be covered for that time period within the EU.

Except the worldwide three year warrenty now if it dies with the three red lights.....
