Hi i have a dead ocz modular psu that needs replacing what would be best for my needs. My system is an AMD phenom tri core psu saphire vapourx 4890 1 gb gfx 4 gig of ram.Its been stuck under the stairs for a bit so time to get my finger out and fix it lol. Thanks;)

ok fitted the psu and pc is dead. did the paper clip test on psu and the fan goes around so new psu is working at a loss now.i connected just a fan and 24 pin and 8 pin to the board and no life hardley any dust in there anything else i could try

got the crosair cx 600w the antec was out of stock but that is working the pc is not it is dead no life or any lights comming on.

Any ideas where to go from here.Could it be the soldering on the board as it has been left for a year in the cupboard but it isnt moist but a good temp in there all the time.just dont want to throw it all as there are some good components on there which i want to salvage if possible.

Been having a look around the net and looks like the mobo maybe dead as basicaly no signal being sent to psu to power up pc.So tomorrow one last try as in strip down to basic board and then go from there.before ordering a new board.
