Replacing a Nexus 4....

Hi all, my Nexus 4 was dropped over the weekend (again!) and whilst the screen is intact it sometimes throws a hissy fit and does strange things flicking onto different pages. At first this didn't happen a lot but is happening more and more and I can see if being a royal PITA soon.

Replacing the screen is out of the question as i've already replaced it once and would rather get a new phone haha!

My question is - if you were replacing a Nexus 4 what would you replace it with? Keeping in mind the VfM that the N4 represented and whatever I end up buying will be SIM FREE and as such I don't want to buy a £500 handset!
 
Yeh I was thinking the Nexus 5 might be the way to go but just wanted to see if there was anything i'd not thought of! Will check out the Moto X!
 
I'm looking at the Lumia 930 as a replacement for my Nexus 4!

Though I'm getting bored with Android, and want to have a play with Windows Phone 8.1 (which is on my wife's 620 and is not bad!!) :)
 
Moto G is better than the Moto X and great value.

It's what I got when I changed from the N4.

That was the Moto E. To be honest though, if you only use your phone for browsing and other basic use (and don't require a decent camera), I'd actually say that the Moto G is a viable alternative.
 
Moto G is best for clumsy people who lose/smash their phones a lot.

I haven't lost a phone ever and it's been several years since I smashed one, even then it was someone else who nudged it off where it was sitting, so I opted for a Nexus 5.

There is a one plus one thing coming out soon which is ridiculously good value for money too if you can wait a few months.

If you don't mind a bigger device I would wait too see how the Oppa 7a does and theOne plus one, I think getting something with a S801 would be wise as they seem to have really sorted out the battery life, the S5 and M8 both doing amazing on benchmarks.
 
The oneplus one phone looks a bit too big really. Nexus 4 size is perfect imo. Moto G looks a bit too basic. Might just have to stretch to the Nexus 5 then. Might try and snag a 2nd hand one from somewhere!

I'd quite like to give WP8.1 really but undecided on the best handset to go with.
 
ive just got a moto x. wanted a 4g capable phone. im really liking it so far, especially the size in hand and touchless controls.
