replacing a phenom x4 b50

hy all.

i have a phenom 2 x4 b50(the unlocked 1)

i would like to upgrade, was looking at the x6 1100t

what should i loock at when trying to benchmark my chip, on the likes of anandtech there is no b50 chip on the list, what would be the alternative?

Since it's unlocked, look for an X4 with the same (or similiar) speed. That should be the same performance as your B50. What speed is it running at?

its running at 3.11 atm.

Depends on your use for the PC? For things like video/music editing, it will help thanks to the extra cores, but for gaming, I would imagine only a tad difference, although it could help with the crossfire scaling.

If you're willing to overclock I'd be more tempted to go for the 1090T instead and overclock that to ~4ghz. It should overclock just about the same as the 1100T.

is there a noticeble difference beteween the 2 other than the £30

Only difference is 100mhz. Just go for the 1090T if you're willing to overclock. The 4ghz clock should help in CPU bounded games, and shouldn't bottleneck your crossfire setup.
