Replacing a psu fan

Hi all,

I had a thread a week or so ago about a ticking in my PC. I was advised this was a problem with the XFX XXX edition psu's and something about the fan being underclocked on it which causes the ticking noise.

What I was thinking was, what if I replace the fan/fans on it? Is this likely to cure the problem? Also, how hard is it to replace a PSU fan, I've never done it before .

Cheers everyone

Hmm, maybe I will just leave it for now then, the ticking isn't unbearable or anything, but I was just wondering if it was worth it. I would RMA it, but I can't really be completely without a PC for however long it takes for the process to complete :(
