Replacing a Sky box/Freesat box with a Firestick?

All I want to do is have something close to the live channels I have with my old non-subscription skybox with a similar kind of TV Guide. All the UK usuals. Is this easy and legal?

Moving into a house with no sky dish and unsure of the ariel. Need something that can become our new goto for TV.
