Hi

I'm seriously considering this at the moment as my super drive stopped working almost as soon as I got the machine and the price of the ssd at the moment.

looking at websites, there's a large range in the prices of the caddy. Does it matter as from all I can tell its bit of metal in the shape of a dvd drive with a whole for the 2.5 hdd and extensions for the connector itself so that it does connect to the logic board.

Anyone with bad experiences of cheap caddies?

I have bought 3 of the cheap caddies in the past. Had a problem with 1. Still it is so much cheaper it is worth the risk.

Make sure you get the 9.5mm version.
