So the quick info goes..

Girlfriend is moving in, in a few months this means the home hub will running

My PC
Her PC
Small media/storage PC
Tablets/phones etc.

All the PC's are wired at the moment but I'd like them all on gigabit so looking a replacement for the HH3

£70-£100 budget

Also, just so it's right in my head.

It will go....

Wall socket - White BT modem - [new router] - PC's

and not

Wall socket - White BT model - HH3 - [new router] - PC's

Correct?

Gigabit switch would be easier and cheaper I would have thought.

Wall socket - White BT modem - HH3 - [gigabit switch] - PC's.

Unless you don't have a spare plug socket for switch.

I'd have thought this too ... would seem overkill to buy a new router when a gigabit switch for significantly less cost would do the job.
