Replacing carpets and not happy with Cormar - any other options?

I need to have carpets replaced in two large-ish areas of my house (hallway/stairs/landing and lounge) and have not been overly impressed with the Cormar 50oz Home Counties I currently have fitted, which I believe has now been discontinued.

The Cormar hasn't worn well in the five years I have had it and replacing like-for-like is not an option, so interested to hear what other brands and ranges I should be looking at - or if Cormar are decent and I got a crappy roll-end or some seconds from the fitters I used way back when.

For reference, current carpets are 80/20 wool mix, 10mm thick with 8mm pile so looking for something similar or better.

I found some offcuts in the loft from when I had the house done five years ago and cannot believe how badly the Cormar has faded in that time.

Either I got some bin-end, Friday afternoon special stuff or it’s just poorly made and highly priced.

Anyone have experience of Penthouse Carpets? Their Esprit Nouveau range has some excellent colours and the 60oz is decently priced against other brands 50oz.
