Replacing cpu need to remove motherboard?

I have an old e2220 2.4 ghz that im swapping for a cheap q6600, im using the stock push pin cooler, can i do this without having to take the whole mother board out?

You can do yes. Some may find it easier doing it on a more open surface so you can make sure the CPU is alligned correctly. But if your case has decent space around it you should be fine.

My case has plenty of space around the cpu, Are the old push pin coolers easy to get off? its been about 5 years since i put a pc together and that was only the 2nd one i had ever built lol

Very easy yeah

My cooler uses them, just push and twist, bit of a wiggle and they're free!
