Replacing desktop pc with a mac...

After owing a MBP for a month now I have been persuaded by OSX about how much better it runs compared to my pc. Is it viable to reaplce my desktop pc with a good spec Imac for gaming.... the graphics cards seem to be very limited in choice.

the 8800 wont' be noticed by OS X though, but if your using boot camp go into windows it will work.

Thats useful info thanks, I'm not really into the latest games but there is the occasional one I like to play, most of my time is spent on WoW anyway which runs great on the Mac.

Question about the iMacs.... I don't suppose there is a video input, so i could connect my pc to run the Macs monitor in those times when I did want to play something graphics intensive?

Thanks Justin, I presume there is a video out for dual monitor use though?
