The fan on my Asus A8N-E motherboard makes the most annoying grinding noise, and I'm pretty sure it's beyond repair. Does anyone know what I can replace with with? Would heatsink only solution be enough, and if so can you link to one? Thanks.

The A8N-SLI series was infamous for dodgy fans, a lot of people replaced the active cooler for a passive Zalman NB cooler and didn't have any problems. You'll need to check clearance available though so it doesn't interfere with your graphics card.
Asus should send you a new fan revision though if you contact them.
