replacing feet on g5 mouse HELP

hi just need alittle help from someone who has replaced there g5 mouse feet before

basically i have just removed the old mouse foot and after peeling it off there is like a little cloth thing under it instead of the surface of the mouse, im unsure if this is suppose to be here or not or if its just the old foot didnt peel off correctly , before taking it off tho i would like someone to tell me if its correct or not that this should still be here

any help would be appreciated

oh so this isnt a 1 off ? meaning its prolly ment to be there hmm , dono if i should remove it or not

It was a while ago when I changed mine. From what I recall when I took the feet off there was sticky 'black sponge' stuff on the mouse itself and the back of the feet. I figured it was the adhesive for the old feet so it wasn't needed for the new feet since they had their own.

to late now i have applied the new foot ontop of it , desided it would prolly be to messy trying to get the old stuff off if it didnt come off in 1 go so just left it , thnx for ur help tho

Out of interest, where did you get the replacements from?
