I noticed my exhaust sounded like it was blowing a few days ago. I carried on driving it as it was not terrible, and figured it could wait a bit till it really needed doing.

Anyway, after driving on some rather bumpy grund it seems that I no longer have any silencing at all!

I had a look under the car, and one end of the flexible section at the bottom of the downpipe has sheared off. Now, what i need to know is, can I just purchase a replacement section from camskill (of a similar size/pipe diamter/etc) and just get a local kwik fit blokey to weld it in, cash in hand, or will this need a more proper solution?

Its a 1997 Prelude, it looks like it will need chopping and welding, but I don't forsee that to be a problem, I can hacksaw it off (leaving as long a straight section as possible), and just drive it over there with the new part in hand, and ask my chap to weld it. (I have no welding experience/equipment myself)

Nice one :D
