I'm switching my 4670 for a 3850 pro on account of an incompatability with my mobo and non peg powered pcie 2.0 video cards.

I'm curious as to whether or not I need to remove any drivers or if there are any special steps I need to follow when replacing the card? I also have Compiz effects working with the 4670 at the moment so is there anything I should be doing to ensure that continues working once prior and/or post to replacing the card?

Thanks in advance.

I might have installed the restricted driver for the 4670, I can't remember if it installed it automatically or not. Is it worth me uninstalling that?
