Desperate in need of some help here.
I've replaced hard drives on a server before that supports hot swapping but I'm a little unsure how to go about replacing the HDDs on a really old ML110 (G2).
Although they are not flashing amber, I suspect a hard drive fault is imminent because I get a lot of OS problems now (making it unusable) and from what I've been reading on the internet. I'm not sure if they are hot swappable and from what I gather I'll just need to shut it down and replace the HDD; boot it up and the RAID array should rebuild automatically and the system will be accessible and function as if nothing has happened to it.
Is that correct?? Or I have to go into the RAID utility and configure it there?
Thanks for any advice and help.
