Replacing heatsink and fan on a geforce 2

Hi Everyone,

I have an old GeForce 2 that I want to reuse for a pc, but the fan on it is bloody noisey, I managed to get the h/s and fan off easily, and tried getting all of the dust off, but it must be the bearing worn out on it. Is their anyway I can replace the heatsink and fan. I had one idea which was to take a chipset heatsink which seems to have a similiar configuration and try that. But I would probably need a 40mm fan or something to make it work.

Which model GF2 is it? The one I'm using in this PC at the moment is completely passive (not even a heatsink), but it's only an MX400.

Not quite the same heatsink, but I've got a Zalman Passive working fine with a 6200. Any card that doesn't need the RAM cooled should be fine.

And I actually pulled that out of a working machine to photograph it as I couldn't get a decent photo in the rig ;)

Not being funny but on a card of that age, you might as well buy a secondhand gfx card rather than an aftermarket cooler. Wouldn't suprise me if you could get a gf3 for a tenner.

I like the idea of not having any fan at all, I'm trying to keep the system as quite as possible, because it will be on whilst I am asleep.

I just wanted to know if it would fit, and in fact I have already used one of those those zalman heatsinks to replace a noisy fan on my old motherboard chipset.
