Could anyone tell me if a KA will take a normal CD player?

Or would it need to be an original player from another KA?

Cheers

It will take one, but you are going to need a fascia plate and a wiring harness. To get the old HU out you need a removal tool or some wire bent to fit.

Thing is, not many HUs look even remotely alright in the dash of a Ka.

Get yourself a second hand CD6000 (I think thats the model number - check for KA compatibility) from ebay. Cheap enough and as DRZ will suit the dash better than an after market. It should also be a straight swap with the cassette unit.

Do this. Even the fascias you buy (for £15!) don't fit anywhere near as well as the original cd player.
