Hi All

I have an old Logitech Z-680 sound system but the control pod sorta blew up on me (Dont ask, long story :-)) I have tested all the speakers including the sub and they seem to have survived. I have an old Yamaha RX-V357 lying around that was never used, would it be possible to use my exisiting logitech speakers with this amp, I know some mod will have to be done with the sub cables. Would this be possible and do you think i would get good results sound wise?

Cheers

Yeah, tried that, but as these are over 6 years old, I would have to pay to get the unit replaced, So was hoping I can use my existing AMP. If I have to pay then I would just rather upgrade to a decent surroud Sound setup but dont want to spend the £300 - £400 at the moment.

I don't see why you couldn't use the speakers as satellites. The sub would be more of an issue, as it includes the amp and doesn't have standard analogue inputs. You could always just add a separate subwoofer to your amp.

I have a Z-680 control pod spare, was working last time I used it, you can have it, simply pay the postage, drop me a line via Trust...

Unfortunately not...somebody got it off me quite a while ago...

My Z680's are still going strong...over 8 years old now!

No worries, powered speakers off at mains switch on sub, powered back up and display on control unit back to normal now, the broken power switch on the console isn't a major problem as I can power up and down via the remote. Had mine around 8 years also, still sounding great!:)
