Replacing my CPU cooler

I am looking to replace my CPU heatsink / fans as the plastic that connects my fans has deteriorated and they are now held on insecurely with cable ties.

I am thinking of using a closed loop watercooler like this: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/hydro-series-h80i-gt-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

My question is would it be better to get the rear mounted 120mm version or the 140mm top mounted version (in this case https://www.overclockers.co.uk/antec-300-three-hundred-ultimate-gaming-case-black-ca-101-an.html).

Also would this cooler be ok for this overclock: CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.60GHz Sandybridge CPU.

This is my spec from several years ago:

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks!

i have a H100i so mine is a bit different as its the 240mm, double fan setup.

Personally i like to have my rear fan being my exhaust but that is because i have fans pushing air through the side and front of my case into the case then the 240mm cooler grab the internal case air from the top to cool my CPU. Then i have an exhaust fan at the rear.

For this, i would like to say mounted to the top would be good because generally most peoples setups have the top of the PC clear so the fan can grab air from the top of the case and the inside of the case (because it has a push/pull double fan setup) so more airflow onto the radiator.

Then have an exhaust fan on the rear,

a side fan because these collect dust on some PC's if airflow inst going through the grill and this increases air flow and cool air into the case for the cpu cooler.

Then utilize any front fan slots as well f this case has any.

This is only my opinion and what i would do, i have tried to explain my reasons the best i can.

Are you using the stock cooler at the moment and what are your temps at, ideally under a bit of stress

Thanks for your reply I have 2x 120mm at the front pulling air into it and my rear fan is the exhaust so probably getting the top fan is the best option as you say.

I am using this as my cooler 'OcUK H2 Flo Extreme CPU Cooler'. I need to check on my current CPU temps at heavy load (haven't checked for a while) first to see what they are at.

Yeah that's what i would go for anyway, also consider buying a fan for the side of the case, just to help with air flow. Should overclock fine with the corsair cooler anyway.
