Hey guys so after about 3 T.V's being replaced from Samsung and else where i've decided to go for another T.V/refund tomorrow.

Problem is i aren't sure what T.V fits my bill.

Big things are the following :
4K
HDR+Game mode at the same time
Low input lag
under £1500

I did originally have a LG 4k before the KS8000 but as soon as it detected a HDR source it wouldn't allow game mode to be used at the same time.

Had problems with the telly since day 1 but they have gotten worse over time, done everything from updating T.V Firmware, to manufacture reset, to calling Samsung and getting a thing where they manually do it using a pin.

Had numerous problems with the Tellys, Smart remote not working on the 3rd Telly, as the bluetooth is naffed on it, that's what the "Know how" guy said at least.

The youtube app would constantly glitch to where the videos would overlap each other a lot and you couldn't actually click on the correct video.

When a Nintendo switch was plugged in to the dock without the system being attached to the dock it would constantly switch HDMI automatically and wouldn't stop doing it.

The volume got stuck on the T.V at 16 vol and you can't turn it up or down anymore but all the other buttons work on the standard remote bar the mute and vol up and down.

Would randomly turn it self off mid blu ray/game (No the auto sleep setting wasn't on or whatever it's called)

Had nightmares with the telly and i don't want a 4th one. I can have either a refund or a exchange, now i do want another T.V i just can't find any that check all the boxes for me.

Any recommendations as i really don't want to go over my original price bracket of £1500

Thanks!

OLED from john lewis IMO.

if your into gaming that much buy a monitor for gaming. otherwise forget input lag requirements, etc. nobody can really tell between say 10ms of lag and 40ms of lag so long as it's below 40ms it's unnoticeable. human reaction time is around 200ms +/- 100ms depending on your age and genetics.

below 40ms is good enough, any lower and you won't be able to tell. if it's above 40ms though you will notice it.

I already game on a ultrawide monitor, I just prefer to get 4K HDR on PC titles such as RE7 and GoW.

I tried a LG out last year and the input lag was unbearable as when i got sold the T.V i got told it can do HDR + Game mode at the same time.

I'll take a look at the OLED's and give it a think, i've seen them in store and they do look incredible i'm just not sure i want to stretch the extra cash, is it really worth it?

that's beause the LG olde's required a firmware update to improve HDR gaming. I belive that firmware has now been implemented.

without the patch they were around 100ms which is why it was horrible. anything above 50ms is. which is why you should aim for 40ms or below. but i wouldn't for instance pick a tv solely because it was 18ms over say a 30ms tv.

I didn't have a oled before i purchased a uh850v i think it was but yeah i can see what you are saying, i think i'll go to my local store and check out the OLED LG Tellys, i hear about screen burn on them.

Is it a major issue or do you not game on a LG OLED?

The Telly is for watching 4k blu rays and gaming but i game longer than i watch movies so i'll say that's the main focus.
