Hi

Unfortunately the lack of HDCP on my NEC 20wgx2 is becoming a big annoyance and so I will have to pass it on to my parents. It's a real shame as I still love this monitor and wish I could keep it for many more years :(

Anyway this was a pretty decent monitor for the time and was wondering what is the minimum I would have to spend to get an equivalent/better 20 inch monitor? I would like to do this is cheaply as possible but I don't want a monitor that looks worse than what I have now.

Any ideas?

That's a shame. I would have assumed that in the time since i bought my NEC monitors would have become better and cheaper. Maybe I should just go ahead and buy AnyDVD to get around the HDCP issues?

I was having the exact same problem pre1twa, I replaced it today with the 24" Hazro and put my NEC20WGX2 onto the members market.

Run quite a few tests and am extremely happy, it's quality is incredible and it's very comparable to the 20WGX2 except this Hazro is a lot bigger, has HDMI (plugged PS3 onto it and blu-rays look amazing).

Heh, I got the 24" Hazro this week too, I have the same feelings as you, love the monitor!

Comparable as in the Hazro is better than the NEC? Are they pretty much the same?
