Hi guys i know its the wrong section but i need a quick answer....
I want to upgrade my ram in my acer netbook and i was just wondering if i have to buy the ram from Acer....Or do i just get a stick of ram with the same speeds and pop it in?
Thanks

I imagine any "decent" SODIMM same-spec stuff will be fine. I bet the stuff in it already isn't Acer anyway.

any decent DDR2 SODIMM ram will be fine (i imagine its DDR2)

the speed doesnt matter tooo much as it will work anyway however the overall speed will be the speed of the slowest stick.

Download CPU-Z.

It will tell you in the memory tab exactly what kind of RAM you are using, then just order up the same spec.

It certainly doesn't need to be acer. I dont even think acer make ram

Thanks Essex but thats kinda expensive...
I think im going to grab the ram i have found.

Sorry... it was just a link to show the correct Ram type that you should get for your netbook and the maximum amount that was supported per slot.... NOT what to purchase per say :)
