Ive got an old bfg 8800gts 640 thats used on my second rig, currently the card sits at 80c even at idle, this is with 100% fan speed all the time. Im considering taking off the cooler and changing the paste to mx3, and give the fan a good clean. Is mx3 ok to use on a gpu, and if so, how much do i need to use. Ive only ever replaced paste on cpu's and NB/SB heatsinks, never on a gpu. Im hoping this will help, otherwise it's going into the oven.
