Here are some pics of the inside of the PSU (half way down):

Which 80mm fans would be best to sit in their instead?
The PSU hasnt arrived yet but later in the review it mentions they're loud!

Was looking at Noctua but they're quite a bit more then all the others... which are out of stock here.
Would Xilence be ok or would the small CFM be a bad idea for PSU fans?

I guess I would also need it to be 2pin not 3 unless I use a 2-Pin to 3-Pin Fan Adapter Cable

You will invalidate the warranty by removing the cover, let alone changing the fans.

If you want quiet why didn't you order a quiet PSU?

As above, What the **** are you thinking ???
Just buy a Quiet PSU don't go messing with a Brand new Item/Warranty it's Madness, Especially with a PSU they should be Well left alone.

It looks easy, just take the lid off, unscrew old fans, replace with quiet fans, put lid back on!
Got the psu on the mm at a good price, can't afford a 1000w silent psu.

Which fans would be best? One needs to be just 15mm deep.

Be very careful what you touch, you can get some serious electric shocks.
even if you do it, be sure to check if the air is too hot under full load for the first 2 or 3 days. if it is, then you've got a problem.

Sod invalidating the warranty - this is your life we are talking about here. Never touch the inside of a PSU without properly discharging with the correct equipment. They are FRPs. just buy another.

I appreciate everyones concern but I don't feel I will be touching the inside of the psu, only sliding the old fans out and new fans in. I won't touch anything else! So in your opinion which new fans would be best?

Besides vioding the warranty PSU fans are chosen by manufacturers to move a certain amount of air inside the PSU to dissipate heat now if you change the fans with a quite one but is not able to do the requirement set by the manufacturer then your PSU might overheat or run outside of specs w/c is not good.

If you must continue, the best way is to read the details from the existing fans, Goggle to find the specs and then find the lowest noise fans that have the same or higher throughput.

Don't forget that PSU fan noise is also a function of load. i.e. If the PSU is heavily loaded and the fans are speed controlled according to temp. the fan speed and noise will increase.

Looking at your current spec. I can't think why you need a 1000 watt PSU, unless its just bragging points.

Upgrading the rest of my pc.
Hmm, not much info exists aboutthe current fans.
I need good cfm and not a lot of noise, any ideas? One also needs to be only 15mm deep. I have found 2-3 pin adaptors for 99p.

They run the same pins to you just swap the connector from the old fan onto the new fan. Theres no reason to touch any of the parts inside other than the fan.
