Replacing Sky Broadband wireless router

Hi guys,

My Sky wireless router is pretty rubbish, the wireless only works for around 7 metres away from it.

I want to replace it with a nice Wireless N router with good range, like a Rangemax.

My current Sky wireless is the Sagem one.

What will I need to replace it? Will I need my broadband connection username and password from Sky? Or is it best to keep that as the router and plug a good wireless access point into one of the LAN ports?

The Sagem modem is the easiest to retrieve the username & password from.

Simply visit https://www.cm9.net/skypass/ input a few details and click OK

Have you tried different channels?

I keep hearing people mention bad wifi performance on the Sagem, but mine is fine throughout the house as well as in the garage and gardens. My router is sat under the stairs with brick walls on three sides, too.
