Hey guys,

Anyone know if replacing the thermal paste on my 970 will void the warranty or not?

This is the card i have,

Great card but i think it runs a little on the hot side under load and makes my room like a oven,Id like to try and lower the temps.

While game running.

That temp is about right for that card.

If you want to lower the temps, set up a custom fan profile with Afterburner.

And think about it - the room will still get hot even if you lower the card temps - reducing the temps doesn't reduce the watts the card uses. Whether it's 80c or 60c, it's still dumping exactly the same amount of heat into your room (if you don't get why this is, you'll just have to trust me).

The amount of heat the card generates is constant according to use.

The temperature of the GPU core shows how efficiently that heat is being dissipated into the atmosphere (i.e your room).
