Replacing 120hz monitor with something new
Hi all,
I'm looking to replace my ageing W2363D 120hz monitor with something a bit more "colourful". That is, I'd like something that performs a bit better in all areas, not just low input lag. The primary use is gaming and general web browsing. Motion clarity and contrast have become far more important to me of late, so black frame insertion and non-IPS/TN panels seem to be the best way forward in that regard.
Displays that have caught my eye:
If you can think of a better display that I may not have mentioned, please suggest it. I know Lightboost monitors do offer some excellent motion clarity.
Basically, the Eizo is the front runner for me right now, but I'd like to know how it compares to the others on the list for motion clarity and contrast. I believe the Panny is the worst for input lag but best for image quality, however also the most expensive. I'd also like to have a screen 32" or less in size as I'll be sitting about 2.5ft away.
3D is not a concern for me and 120hz would be nice, but is not a deal breaker. I believe my monitor has a contrast ratio of about 500:1, and pretty lackluster black levels and shadow detail, and these are things that do matter to me. I had a G30 Panasonic but sold it as I felt it was too big to use in my room, and the 4:2:2 subsampling made PC use rather unsavoury. I see that the ST60 has full chroma, and the fact that this is Panasonic's final line of plasmas has initiated a light panic within me
I should mention it will be used primarily to game on PC, PS4 and Wii U, with some standard entertainment use through the PC (browsing, watching video etc.).
So, what would y'all recommend?
